The students and staff of Roane-Jackson Technical Center would like to invite you to our
10th annual Tech-or-Treat event this coming Thursday, October 22nd, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Join us for an exciting evening featuring games, make-and-take crafts, apple butter, cookie
walk, spooky house, and much more. Of course, we’ll also have trunk-or-treating with
plenty of candy and prizes! There is no admission cost, and all activities are free of charge.
We hope to see you THIS THURSDAY EVENING for an unforgettable night of family fun!

RMS Families, Your child should be bringing home a proof of their school pictures that were taken earlier in the school year. The exceptions would be those that are more recent transfers into RiMS and those that were absent on the two picture days we had. If you are missing a proof, please reach out to Amanda Greer (please see attached picture). There is also going to be online ordering as an option, please see the other picture with the QR code attached for more information on how to order your pictures online!

As of 2:30 p.m., the following areas along Route 21 are experiencing high water:

Update - Route 21 north of Old WV 56 - Is now open

Crooked Run
Trace Fork
Liverpool
Turkey Fork


Our buses will use alternate routes for student drop-off in the Crooked Run and Trace Fork areas. Please note that if your child's bus was unable to operate this morning, it will not operate this afternoon.

If a bus is unable to safely deliver students due to high water, students will be transported back to Gilmore Elementary School, which remains accessible via Independence Road.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we prioritize student safety.

Please do not attempt to drive through flooded roadways.
