On Thursday, September 17, the 4th grade teachers will host an AR/Math night. It's your opportunity to get some further information about Ready Math and some resources to help you child. You will also have time to read AR and take tests in the library. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend! The festivities will begin at 3:30 and end at 5:30.

Ripley Elementary will conduct a code red drill on Friday, August 28 from 1:00-1:30 PM. Code Red drills are school safety exercises designed to prepare students and staff for a serious threat or emergency. During a drill, everyone practices procedures such as securing classrooms, remaining quiet, staying out of sight, and following staff directions. These drills help Ripley Elementary identify areas for improvement and ensure everyone knows how to respond quickly and safely in an emergency.
I hope everyone had a great first day of school and is ready to make the second day even better. Just a reminder that if your child rides a bus, you can track the location of the bus on the Zonar App.

This is a reminder that the first day of school for Ripley Elementary will be tomorrow, August 19. We are excited to welcome our students back and begin a great school year together.
I would personally like to thank our staff members, Jackson County employees, and community members who assisted with last night's cleanup efforts. Your willingness to step up and help demonstrates the strength and generosity of our community.

Students in Grades 1-5 will come to Ripley Elementary on a regular schedule Wednesday August 19. We are so excited to see everyone!
It was all hands on deck Monday evening and Tuesday after the rain came through the school. So, thankful for the dedication of public school employees and board office administration.
Unfortunately, Ripley Elementary will be closed tomorrow, August 18th, 2026, due to water intrusion in the front office area. Mrs. Starcher will update the Ripley Elementary community on plans for Wednesday, August 19th. Staff will operate on a Code D. Custodial staff will need to report at their normal times. Other staff members will report at 12:00 p.m. Thank you
Hydration is extremely important, but we need your help to ensure that water bottles are not a disruption to our academic day! Water bottles need to be spill proof. Water bottles with open straws or lids that cannot be secured will need to stay at home. Make sure your child's name is on their water bottle and that the water bottler is free from any decoration that has to be clipped to the bottle. Water bottles are for water only. Do not fill them with flavor packets, juice, soda, or other beverages. Cirkul water bottles should be left at home. Some of the Cirkul cartridges contain caffeine. Some teachers may create "hydration stations" in their classrooms to store student water bottles during the day. Remember, water bottles are not a necessity during the school day.
