Every week, teachers look for students who demonstrate the principles of SHINE. These students are recognized at a school-wide morning meeting. This week, Mr. Hicks and Mrs. Starcher challenged these students to 4-square!

Ripley Elementary recently recognized Students of the Month who demonstrated trustworthiness. Trustworthiness is being a person others can depend on because they are honest, reliable, and act with integrity. While many roads in our area are clear, we recognize that some are still impacted, especially in the southern part of our county. Our teams have been out monitoring roads all day and have determined that some bus routes need to be abbreviated.

Parents, please do not have your child wait outside on a bus for more than 10 minutes. RES students were selected through a juried process to have their artwork displayed at the Capitol. Their work will be on view from January 14 through August as part of the Governor’s Almost Heaven Art Exhibit. Congratulations! We are proud of you!
Ripley Elementary would like to recognize their December Students of the the Month. December's character focus was caring. Students who demonstrated caring showed a consistent and intentional demonstration of qualities such as empathy, kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness toward others.
The school lost and found is on display at the end of the third grade hallway. Teachers will be taking students to peruse the clothing and other lost items. Parents can also come and look on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:00 for any items your child might be missing. Then we will be donating any left items.

After receiving updates from our drivers regarding morning road conditions, Jackson County Schools will continue to operate on a two-hour delay for Tuesday, December 9. Ninety-five percent of our bus routes are not affected.
However, if a bus cannot run your child's route, and you believe road conditions are still unsafe to meet the bus at a designated area, please send a note with your child to school the next day.
Also, please continue to monitor the Zonar App for bus updates.
