This week, our 3rd grade class celebrated the beauty of our differences by learning about the rich cultures and traditions of Venezuela, the Philippines, and Mexico.
September and October are wonderful opportunities to recognize and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and Filipino American History Month. Through hands-on learning, stories, traditions, and cultural exploration, our students discovered that while we may come from different places and have unique traditions, we all have so much to share and learn from one another.
Celebrating culture helps our students listen, learn, appreciate, and include others—building a classroom community where everyone feels valued and celebrated.
